Yorktown

Yorktown marked the official start of the TransAmerica Trail portion of our ride.  I mentioned our wonderful accommodations before, provided by Elsa and Carlton from the Grace Episcopal Church which has been there in Yorktown since 1634.  Here is the church and the house we stayed in.

The house looked a lot like our house in Sanford inside, only 2 story.  We felt so comfortable there!  Because of the rain we stayed two nights.  Then we went to the Monument:

Tires dipped!  Time to RIDE!
