Lincoln Homestead State Park

What a find this place was!!  While there is no camping there, per say, they offer to passing cyclists a FREE place to pitch your tent.  We had the whole place to ourselves, a picnic shelter, and restrooms were all right there.  For the first time we were able to just put up the screen part of the tent and since there were no lights out there we could see every star.  It was magical...
My latest favorite pic.  It almost captures the magic of that night.  Almost.
We were able to spread out and organize some of our stuff...  We found Ken's soap holder that we thought we had lost, but we accidently left our walking sticks behind.  Sigh...
Our view from the tent.
The cabin where Abraham Lincoln's parents were married.
Some history about Nancy, Abraham's mother.
