40 miles in 40 degrees

This was a muddy park near the river just outside of Carbonton.  

One of the roads we had intended to take turned out to be gravel so we had to adjust our route and add some more miles to it.  This little off-road adventure did make for a rare photo opportunity, though. It's not every day you see a TerraTrike Tour taking a dirt road. And there are reasons for that.

The weather stayed around 40 or so but with the wind it felt MUCH colder than that. We rode just under 40 miles and in spite of the cold we felt great. We did get back in after dark, though, due to the detour we had to take but it was okay. It just made getting home that much more enjoyable!
